Stiefeld Boot Fit Guide
How Stiefeld Boots Should Fit
Western boots fit differently from sneakers or athletic shoes.
Because Stiefeld boots are made with structured leather and traditional construction, they should feel secure and supportive when new and gradually mold to your foot as you wear them.
A properly fitting western boot should feel:
• Snug across the instep (top of the foot)
• Comfortable in the heel with slight movement when walking
• Secure around the foot without painful pressure
As the leather softens, the boot will adapt to your foot shape.
Do Stiefeld Boots Run True to Size?
Most customers find that Stiefeld boots run true to size.
If you typically wear a standard US women's size, we recommend starting with that size.
If you are between sizes:
• If your foot is narrow, you may prefer the smaller half size
• If you have a wider foot or higher instep, you may prefer the larger half size
Wearing a boot sock can also help achieve a more comfortable fit.
How to Measure your Foot at Home
How to Measure Your Foot at Home
The easiest way to find your correct size is to measure your foot.
What You Need
• A piece of paper
• A pen or pencil
• A ruler or measuring tape
• Socks similar to those you would wear with boots
Step 1
Place the paper on the floor against a wall.
Stand on the paper with your heel touching the wall.
Step 2
Mark the tip of your longest toe.
Step 3
Measure the distance in centimeters from the wall to the mark.
This measurement is your foot length.
Step 4
Repeat with the other foot and use the longer measurement.

Understanding the Boot Break-In Period
Because Stiefeld boots are made with high-quality leather and traditional construction, they may feel firm during the first few wears.
This is completely normal.
Leather naturally softens and adapts to your foot over time.
Many customers find their boots become significantly more comfortable after a few wears.
Tips for breaking in your boots:
• Wear them indoors for short periods at first
• Use boot socks during the first wears
• Allow the leather to soften naturally
Avoid using excessive heat to speed up the process.

Toe Shapes and Fit
Different western toe shapes can affect how a boot feels on your foot. While most Stiefeld boots run true to size, the shape of the toe can influence comfort for some customers.
Square Toe
Square toe boots typically offer a little more room in the front of the boot.
• True to size
• Comfortable for most foot shapes
• Often preferred by customers who want a bit more space for their toes
Snip Toe, Pointed Toe, and Round Toe
Snip toe, pointed, and round toe styles have a more tapered shape.
• Typically true to size
• The front of the boot is narrower due to the shape
If you have:
• a high instep, or
• wider feet
we recommend sizing up half a size for additional comfort.
Keep in mind that the leather will soften and adapt to your foot over time during the break-in period.
Lorraine Boot Shaft Measurements
The Lorraine Knee-High Boots feature a tall western shaft designed to sit comfortably below the knee while maintaining a classic silhouette.
Because each boot size is scaled proportionally, shaft measurements may vary slightly depending on the size.
For reference, in size 7.5:
• Shaft height: approximately 40 cm (15.7 inches)
• Shaft circumference: approximately 39.5 cm (15.5 inches)
Measurements may vary slightly depending on the boot size.
