Warranty Policy

Thank you for choosing Stiefeld Boots Canada.

We take pride in the craftsmanship of every pair of boots we offer. Our products are made in small batches using premium materials and traditional techniques. This Limited Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

1. Limited Craftsmanship Warranty

Stiefeld Canada offers the original purchaser a 90-day limited craftsmanship warranty from the date of delivery.

If, within 90 days of purchase, a Stiefeld product develops a manufacturing defect under normal use, we will, at our discretion:

  • repair the product, or
  • replace the product with the same style and size, if available, or
  • if repair or replacement is not possible, offer store credit or another reasonable remedy at our discretion.

Any repaired or replacement product will be covered only for the remainder of the original 90-day warranty period.

2. What Is Covered

This Limited Warranty covers defects in craftsmanship or materials that occur under normal use within the warranty period.

Because Stiefeld boots are handcrafted by skilled artisans, each pair is carefully constructed using traditional techniques and premium materials. If a defect related to craftsmanship occurs, we will evaluate the product and determine the appropriate solution.

Examples of covered issues may include:

  • structural defects in construction
  • stitching failures caused by workmanship
  • premature sole separation related to construction
  • hardware failure related to craftsmanship
  • material defects not caused by wear, misuse, or improper care

Each claim is evaluated individually by our team.

3. What Is Not Covered

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

  • normal wear and tear
  • natural softening, creasing, scuffing, or fading of leather
  • wear to soles, heels, insoles, lining, or stitching through regular use
  • cuts, abrasions, scratches, snags, tears, or punctures
  • damage caused by accident, misuse, neglect, improper storage, or improper care
  • damage caused by exposure to water, heat, chemicals, or other external conditions
  • alterations, modifications, or repair work performed by anyone other than Stiefeld or an authorized repair partner
  • fit issues, sizing issues, or personal comfort preferences
  • products purchased second-hand or from unauthorized sellers
  • final sale items, unless required otherwise by applicable law

4. Special Note About Hair-on-Hide Products

Our hair-on-hide styles are made with real cowhide. Because this is a natural material, each pair is unique and natural variation in pattern, texture, and hair direction is expected.

Hair-on-hide can experience gradual thinning, wear, or hair loss over time, especially in areas exposed to regular friction. This is considered normal wear and is not a manufacturing defect.

5. How To Make a Warranty Claim

If you purchased directly from Stiefeld Canada, please contact us at:

Please include:

  • your order number
  • proof of purchase
  • a short description of the issue
  • clear photos showing the problem

6. Assessment of Claims

All warranty claims are reviewed individually. We reserve the right to determine, acting reasonably, whether the issue is due to a manufacturing defect or to normal wear, improper care, or another excluded cause.

If a claim is approved, we will provide instructions for the next steps.

7. Shipping Costs for Warranty Claims

If a warranty claim is approved as a manufacturing defect, Stiefeld Boots Canada may, at its discretion, cover reasonable shipping costs related to the approved claim.

If inspection shows that the issue is not covered by this Limited Warranty, the customer may be responsible for shipping costs.

8. Consumer Rights

This Limited Warranty gives you specific benefits in addition to any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection and sale of goods laws in Canada. This Limited Warranty does not limit or replace any statutory rights that cannot be waived or excluded under applicable law.
